William WattPhotographer and director

William Watt is a photographer and director based in Melbourne, with over twenty years of photography and film for local and international campaigns. Long stretches living and working in the UK, Europe, North and South America and Asia, and a lifelong passion for photography, go into considered visual stories of hotels, resorts and destinations.

He learnt his eye as a street photographer in Melbourne and still looks for the authentic moment: the light, the time and the place. He works across architecture, interiors, lifestyle and golf, on the ground and, as a CASA certified drone operator, from the air.

In 2016 he founded Caddie Magazine, an alternative to the golf publications of the day that joined his love of the game to photography, design and storytelling. From it grew Contours, the golf brand agency he founded, and Currents, the golf venue software he co-founded. He is the editor of SHIFT and the author of two books with Hardie Grant, with a third in development.
